We are seeking a high energy, dynamic professional change agent for the following management position.
DIRECTOR OF RESIDENT CARE

As a visionary leader with proven team building and management skills, the Director, Resident Care will provide progressive leadership and strategic management in keeping with Lanark Lodges Strategic Plan. You will champion the development and implementation of a comprehensive Continuous Quality Improvement Program inclusive of effective interdisciplinary policies and systems. Using your ability to successfully lead change reflecting the principles of best practices, you will ensure quality nursing and personal care for residents is delivered in accordance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act (2007) and regulations of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
You should possess a Baccalaureate in Science in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse in good standing, or be eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, combined with Gerontological Nursing Certification and/or Diploma in Gerontological Nursing. As an experienced professional, you will have a minimum of six years progressive management experience in a Long Term Care environment. You are required to have demonstrated fiscal ingenuity, budget confidence and be technologically proficient. You must be competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Your enthusiastic interest in leading the change to a neighbourhood team concept in the Nursing department will emphasize a work environment focusing on energy, cooperation, and effective employee relations. Your administrative and decision-making skills are first rate and you have creative and innovative ways of providing care in a resident centred Home. Must meet job demands, physical and cognitive.
This position is evaluated at Level 9 ($83,343 TO $107,523 annually) of the 37.5 hour 2011 Non Union Salary Grid.
